So,
It has been a month since I started biking and eating smarter. Well 3 weeks more specifically and I am happy to report I am down 6 lbs.
Only another 136 lbs left to go to my goal weight of 220.
A few other things I have been doing is using an App on my phone called MyFitnessPal.
It is a really great app which acts like a diet and exercise diary.
Really helps keep me honest, imho everyone should have this app.
I really think Avocados are just a wonderful thing. Mixed with the right peppers and or hot sauce the taste is just amazing and it has that "good" fat for you. Helps with the pizza and cheese cravings.
I have been biking every day at least 1 mile. OK, maybe I walk it up some sections of hill but it is really not that much. It really is the most fun I have had in a long time. Especially since I never learned how to wide a bike when I was a kid. Inner ear issues with balance. Those kinds of problems kept me from learning.
When I am "flying" down a dirt road or through the woods my mind is amazingly clear. It is like I was asleep for so long and now am having moments of being wide awake. Nothing else exists in these moments except the current line I am on. The rest of the world just melts away into a blur.
